1986

DJW was founded by David & Lynn Willrich
DJW was founded by David and Lynn Willrich who met whilst working at Beaulieu. The company was set up alongside Beaulieu’s AV department, which David ran.
1989

DJW took over AV Dept at the National Motor Museum
Not having enough time to run DJW and Beaulieu’s AV department separately, it seemed the most sensible thing to do was to combine the two and takeover the AV department.
1993

Evolution of Wales at the National Museum of Wales
One of DJW's early projects was at the Evolution of Wales at the National Museum of Wales. This was the Museum’s innovative Geological Gallery, that moved on from just “pieces of rock in glass cabinets” to explaining the story with technology!
1994

Natural History Museum, Sharjah, UAE
The Natural History Museum, Sharjah, UAE, commissioned this project following the success of *Evolution of Wales!*. The design, set-works, Audio Visual integration and shop-fitting teams created a similar visitor experience for the new museum.

Parkwide AV Consultant at Legoland Windsor
Legoland Windsor appointed David Willrich as the Parkwide Audio Visual Consultant following a chance meeting with the project's Procurement Manager at IAAPA and a subsequent introduction to another member of the team.
1995

House of Mannannan, Isle of Mann
Manx National Heritage manages historic sites across the Isle of Man. Over several years, DJW installed and maintained Audio Visual systems at key locations, including the House of Manannan and the Old House of Keys.
2000

Living Island, Work/Learn and Shared Ground at the Millennium Dome
In 2000, the Millennium Dome hosted a year-long exhibition celebrating the new millennium, one of Britain's most ambitious exhibitions since the 1951 Festival of Britain. We were appointed Audio Visual systems integrator for four of the zones.
2009

Nürburgring
ring°werk, an indoor attraction at the iconic Nürburgring race circuit in Germany, appointed DJW to design the Audio Visual and Show Control infrastructure, delivering an integrated solution that supports the immersive visitor experience.
2010

AV Awards System Company of the Year
DJW were crowned Systems Company of the Year at the AV Awards, as well as winning the Education Project of the Year – for Centre of the Cell and scooping the overall Grand Prix prize.
2012

Titanic Belfast
Titanic Belfast, home to some of the most beautiful immersive experiences DJW has created. The world's largest Titanic exhibition opened to the public in March 2012 to commemorate the centenary of the Titanic's tragic sinking.
2016

David Willrich elected International Board President of the TEA
David Willrich, Managing Director of DJW, was unanimously elected by the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) International Board to serve as President of the Association for a two-year term.

King Abdul-Aziz Centre for World Culture/ITHRA Gallery 4
At the King Abdul-Aziz Centre for World Culture, the Rehlaat Gallery explores the natural history of the Arabian Peninsula. One of our most challenging projects, featuring five 270° floor-to-ceiling projections with a control system.
2018

Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre
The Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Centre features five large galleries and a 120-seat Planetarium. The Space Museum formed part of one of the largest museum projects in the world – a project we are extremely proud to have contributed to.
